Kawatana is a small town on the bay located 30 minutes south of the Sasebo City downtown by train. It has one high school, a school for the physically disabled, a junior high and an elementary school. It is a small town with one station, but Sasebo city is easily accessible. There is a nice sense of community here and any ALT would be lucky to be placed here.
