Cicatriz de Hierro (English: Scar of Iron) is a city on Mercury run by Spain. The city is named for the shape of the mine created when colonization of the planet started, resembling a massive scar in the landscape. The city itself was founded in 1954 as a penal colony for Basque separatists. The colony was opened to civilians in 1957.
