The Mikaru Family was the head family of the 4 families that made up the Mikaru Clan. It was formed by Morganus Mikaru when he formed the Clan with the families of 3 others who had been shuned for joining the war. Though all members of the clan could claim to be of the Mikaru Clan, only members of the Family could use the surname.
