Demitrius was captain of a ship Hercules was travelling on. King Pantheus destroyed it and Demetrius and his surviving crew were made slaves in the mines of Atlantis. Later, Demitrius was rescued by Hercules. He and his surviving crew escaped Atlantis before it was destroyed.
