In The Space Ghosts, General Loki tried to use a private supply of the two minerals to conquer The Jurassic Quadrant by changing his raptors into ghosts, but Teggs and Spink, who had suffered the same effects by accident, managed to stop him. It is not known how the mineral is able to turn things into ghosts. It is possible it was powered by some sort of spiritual magic performed by an ancient civilization that may have inhabited Creepus once. It may have been used to protect that same civilization from invaders.
