Scatterbrain was a term used to describe an individual who found it difficult to concentrate on one thing at a time. In 2270, Montgomery Scott referred to the computer of the USS Enterprise as a scatterbrain when it re-enabled gravity controls shortly after deactivating them. (TAS: "The Practical Joker")
