File:FFXI Ionis Status.png Ionis is a status that marks the one who bears it as participating in the effort to colonize the Ulbuka continent. As such, it is the Seekers of Adoulin counterpart to the Signet, Sanction, and Sigil status effects. Only one such status can be active on a player at one time. Unlike other such statuses, the bonuses offered by Ionis depend on the progress of the colonization of Adoulin on that server. Specifically, they depend on the rank of the six coalitions of Adoulin; for example, if the Couriers' Coalition is rank 2, Ionis enhances Evasion and Magic Evasion, and if the Inventors' Coalition is rank 3, Ionis lowers the failure rate of Synthesis.
