In A Grim Undertaking, it is revealed that Quegga had been assassinated by the Ganglion in Barbarich Desert. His fiance Thea mourns his death and has lost all motivation to dance. Prior to his death, he left a note for Thea at Scabland Fortress. In Quegga's Gift, his body was eaten by a Falsaxum as part of the Prone's way of proper burial. Upon reading his notes, Thea is appeased and finds motivation to dance again.
