Pokémon Z (Japanese: ポケットモンスターＺ Pocket Monsters Z) is the third and final game of Generation VI and is the sister game of Pokémon X and Y. First seen on March 1, 2015, a low-resolution cell-phone picture of an upcoming issue of CoroCoro magazine was leaked around the Internet. On March 4, the magazine was officially released and the game was also officially confirmed on Pokémon Smash! XY by Junichi Masuda, and subsequently the official Japanese and international Pokémon websites. The game was released worldwide (except for select countries) on December 19, 2015.
