The RG1070PBZ features an American basswood body with a 7mm thick poplar burl top bolted to an eleven piece wenge, bubinga, maple and purpleheart Wizard neck with a 24 stainless steel fret wenge fingerboard with off-set pearloid dot position markers and luminescent side dots. The pickups are from DiMarzio with two humbuckers flanking a single-coil and are mounted directly to the body. Other components include an Edge Zero II double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut and locking Gotoh tuning machines. The RG1027PBF is a visually similar hard-tail seven-string model.
