The RG450 is one of only a few RG models produced with a 22-fret neck. It has the rounded-edge body style and swoopy, rounded headstock of the older Roadstar body. The RG450 features a basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret fingerboard with dot inlays. Components include pickguard-mounted Ibanez pickups with two humbuckers flanking a single coil pickup and an Edge double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut. The RG440 is a similar model with a single-coil replacing the humbucker at the neck.
