Doctor Smurf is a character who only appeared in the original comics by Peyo. He was featured as a minor character in the cartoon show going by the name Dabbler Smurf in an later season. Doctor Smurf has a very superficial knowledge of medicine and health, often based on natural remedies: eggplant extract, whitethorn extract elixir, horehound tea, codfish liver oil, wormwood, four-leaf clovers, hawthorn root... He uses several medical books as sources of knowledge to give prescriptions to his patients. However, he's proud of his work, which is harmful at worst.
