Adam Almqvist (born February 27, 1991, in Jönköping, Sweden) is a professional Swedish ice hockey player. He is currently playing for HV71 in Elitserien. He was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the 7th round, 210th overall in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. In early November 2009 HV71 signed Almqvist to a contract that lasts until the 2012-13 season. Adam was the highest scoring junior player in the 2010 Elitserien playoffs while contributing to HV71 becoming Swedish Champions.
