The unnamed Clearance Man shocked Victoria Sugden and Adam Barton on 19th May 2015 as they returned to Keepers Cottage to find the man and his colleague had let themselves into the cottage having found a key under the mat. The Clearance Man noted that Betty Eagleton had arranged for her belongings to be sold on. He showed them the paperwork and preceded to bundle her possessions into the back of his van before driving off.
