The B-28 Nailer battle rifle is the standard issue weapon for Trojans of the Terran Dominion military, and is second only to the more popular C-14 Gauss Rifle used by normal Marines. The B-28 is a Railgun rather than a Gauss gun. It is compatible with most ammunition used by C-14s, but carries a smaller clip (Halo: Assault Rifle vs. Battle Rifle) which holds 360 rounds. B-28s fire these rounds at hypersonic speeds at 40 rounds per second. To compensate for the trade-off in chip size, the B-28 has higher accuracy and piercing damage. Because RTX Powered Combat Suits cannot transfer power, the B-28 rifle must rely on its own personal fusion battery to provide approximately 30% more stopping power than the C-14 Gauss rifle.
