Claudia Palmero is Veronica's deceased millionaire mother. She only appeared in the Season Five episode "A Funeral Brings George to His Niece" (episode #15). She was sick for a couple of years and was suffering until she finally died in 2006 in Miami. George didn't want to go to her funeral because Claudia divorced Ray. They treat George badly because they have more money. Ray didn't even attend the funeral. Claudia left Veronica all her money in her will if George decided she was responsible enough to have it. It was revealed in the episode that she didn't like Vic.
