The Lighthammer was a Lightsaber with a long metal hilt (about five and a half feet, or 1.7 meters long)with a mass of energy focused at the end. Due to the heavy weight of the hilt, which weighed 277.2 pounds (Europe 126 kilograms), only individuals with remarkable strength could weild them proficiently (such individuals were occasionally found in the human species, but more often found in Gamorreans, Wookiees, Talz, etc.). Although the hilt was large, the power crystal was only about three quarters the size of that of an ordinary lightsaber, leaving the hammer with to0 little energy to sever a body part. To compensate for this, the hammer had a system throughout the entire hilt (which accounted for much of the hammer's weight) that would generate small explosions with each successful hit
