After the Clone Wars ended, Hugo attended Amidala's funeral during the birth of the Galactic Empire. Hugo lived his life in Naboo, refusing to serve the newly formed Empire, and retired his service in the Naboo Advisory Council. A year later, after the Galactic Empire invaded Naboo for harvesting fugitive Jedi, Hugo traveled to Varykino to spend a week there. He then planted seeds in memory of the people that he knew during his life.
