Olympos was a Gigante from the island of Krete. Olympos raised Zeus in his youth but later was involved in inciting the Gigantes to rebel against Zeus, the other Olympians as well as several other gods and goddesses. During the war with the Giants, Olympos was destroyed in the battle which ensued.
