The episode where Lum and Abner each play a part in stopping Uncle Henry (the local Sheriff) from unjustly taking 12-year-old Mary to a reformatory. Abner improvises a bunch of tricks and antics to keep Uncle Henry busy until Lum can put the finishing touches on his plan. Lum then scares Henry into backing off by using his knowledge of the law and by bluffing him.
