Asgerd was one of the men of the tavern who was in the room where Arthur and Merlin were resting for the night. He tried to rob them, but was caught red-handed by Arthur who jumped out of bed and threatened him with a knife to get some information about Balinor, the Dragonlord they were searching for. The point of Arthur's knife on his chest, he told him that Balinor lived in a cave at the foot of Feorre Mountains, near the Forest of Merendra and that Balinor might not take to them in a friendly manner (The Last Dragonlord).
