Felix was the barman in a restaurant where Mike Baldwin waited for Suzie Birchall to join him for a date. Mike was a regular at the establishment and Felix inquired if his lady tonight would be a blonde or a brunette, admitting his admiration for his success with the ladies. Mike put it down to good looks, money and his overpowering personality. Felix replied that he'd been told that he could be "naughty at forty" but all he could look forward to was being "thrifty at fifty". In the event Suzie stood Mike up, having been told he was only taking her out for a bet. Felix found Mike's embarrassment at the no-show amusing.
