Statler's Cafe was a small diner in Fairvale. Ralph Statler purchased it from Harvey Leach and had owned it for seven years at the time of Emma Spool's disappearance. Emma Spool was working at the Cafe as a waitress before Statler bought the business. He remembered that she had never been late or absent in all the intervening years. Norman Bates briefly worked at the Cafe after his release. He quit to focus on re-establishing the Motel. Mary Loomis also briefly worked at the Cafe as a means of getting close to Norman. The Cafe's other principle waitress was named Myrna.
