Rigellian blood-burn fever was a disease of the blood that originated from the Rigel system. Baxter Pharmaceuticals, Inc. made a name for itself in the 23rd century by developing the first useful, mass-produced serum that could fight Rigellian blood-burn fever (FASA RPG module: The Federation). By their names, origins and apparent symptoms, this disease may be the same as or related to Rigellian fever and Orion blood fever.
