L-3PO was a masculine programmed 3PO-series protocol droid who served the Imperial astrocartographer Essio Galassian during the Galactic Civil War. He tried to stop Scarlet Hark, Han Solo, Baasen Ray, and Leia Organa from entering Galassian's chambers, but Hark blew him to pieces with her blaster. He mentioned a mysterious Garden Party that Hark had attended, disguised as an artistic tutor.
