The Battle of Eriadu was the final battle of the Second Imperial Civil War. It was fought between forces loyal to the Fel Dynasty and the forces of Morlish Veed's insurgency who supported the Moff Council's rule of the Empire. With the surface battle being dominated by Fel and his forces, Admiral Viktor Piard ordered the surrender of the Remnant's space forces, most of the fleet began to comply, as most of them, shocked by the news that their beloved Emperor was not dead (as Veed led them to believe) refused to fight for Veed, naming him usurper.
