The evil genius had been in Brown's employ for an unknown time before the slime problem really hit North Sterlington. The curious Marko entered the sewers to investigate the slime's transforming properties, alerting Brown. The genius moved to calm Brown, stating that there were things that even evil people like them would fear. Noting that the magic football must have been subjected to the slime, the professor was ordered to create something to stop it. However, the genius pointed to the calendar, stating that Wednesday is Inventing Day - today is Practising Evil Laugh Day. After being yelled at (also on the wrong day), the genius invented a "female" football designed to lure Marko's away from him. This plan worked and a series of deadly toys invented by the genius attempted to kill Marko.
