Many of its highest ranking members were Sith, and they served with distinction during the War of Twelve Heirs and the First Sith Civil War, and would later take on law enforcement and peacekeeping roles in the new Sith Empire. It is reasonable to assume that they served as role models for the Black Guard during the Sith Crusade-era.
