Darinby is a journeyman thief in the Thieves' Guild of Tai-tastigon under Master Galishan. He's a friend of Jame's. He is known for his cream velvet d'hen. He once tells Jame, "For men like him, Talisman, you're a baited trap. They'll never be warned off because they can't admit to any danger." She recalls this many times throughout the later books.
