[Source] Weave armor was a model of armor worn by military units throughout the Old Republic era. It was a flexible yet durable suit of armor that provided excellent protection to the wearer from slugthrowers, while restricting movement by only a small amount. Weave armor was favored by warriors whose combat style called for fast and flexible movements, like duelists and gladiators.
