There are four main types of creatures in Titan Quest: * Monsters (or mobs) * Devices (Traps and monster generators) * NPCs (Non Player Characters) * PCs (The player avatars) In the records/creature folder of the database, you will also find 'ambient' creatures, who are just living decorations.
