The skirmish at Vizor Canyon was an attempted Galactic Republic counterattack against Separatist forces at a defensive line during the Battle of Geonosis, that defeated a unit of clone troopers earlier. Though Republic forces outnumbered the defenders, led by a Mandalorian mercenary named Makrin Alvar, the engagement was nonetheless a draw, due to a trap set by Alvar.
