The International Confederation of Wizards is a wizarding intergovernmental organisation, roughly equivalent to the United Nations, founded circa 1600 by a small coalition of Northern France and the Council of Wizards of the British Isles. Said alliance came to be due to a failed attempt at usurpation of Imperial Power from the regency by one of the northern French families. The ICW claims sovereignty over the entire wizarding community, despite the fact that it possesses only four members.
