The story focuses on a young girl named Clarissa Spark who is the daughter of an overbearing mother and father. Clarissa starts off her journey with a Charmander. On the first day she encounters a mysterious group of criminals called Team Rocket. Before she could stop them, Clarissa was pushed off the building, but caught by two arguing trainers. One of them, Mason Artemis, is the protege of Professor Oak who forces him to journey with Clarissa and Katrina during their time in Kanto and Johto.
