The Boomerang is a popular weapon used in the Legend of Zelda series. In the earlier games that it appeared in, it would stun the enemy when it touched it. It would let Link go up for close combat without having to worry about being attack by most enemys. In the 3-D Zelda games, you are able to aim it, and also attack multiple enemies or targets all at once. It allows Link to solve previously unsolvable puzzles. The boomerang also can hit fa away objects and enemies. It is considered a melee weapon in Super Smash Bros Brawl.
