The Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment) was an infantry regiment of the British Army. Raised in 1685 at the Tower of London as the Ordnance Regiment, from 1881 the the regimental district comprised the City of London and East End. In 1968 it was amalgamated with three other fusilier regiments to form the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers. More information on the Wikipedia page [1].
