Luran Geasa was a failed Reverend Mother, younger than Schwangyu, who was one of the first teachers brought to Gammu for the ghola project. She was the chief instructor of the twelfth ghola of Duncan Idaho that the Bene Gesserit ordered from the Bene Tleilax. During Geasa's training of the ghola she developed affection for the child, but was replaced at Gammu after Duncan Idaho inadvertently discovered that he was a ghola through Geasa's carelessness.
