The Mississippi State Bulldogs college football team represents Mississippi State University in the West Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The Bulldogs compete as part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Football Bowl Subdivision. The program has had 32 head coaches since it began play during the 1895 season. Since December 2008, Dan Mullen has served as the Bulldogs' head coach.
