Martha Wayne was the wife of Dr. Thomas Wayne, and the mother of Bruce Wayne. After seeing The Mark of Zorro in a cinema, the Waynes were stopped at gunpoint. When Dr. Wayne tried to throw a punch at the robber to protect his family, Martha Wayne and her husband were shot in cold blood murder. Martha's son Bruce would grow up to become Batman.
