Vollistan healers have become aware of this condition existing in some beings off-world, due to early manifestation and records of some off-world Vollistans needing to make a trip home. There's much religious ado about it, but really, it's probably just a quirk introduced by confined breeding during the Nall forced mating of Interrogators, or from a family subsisting on tainted fungi then spreading out, or -something-. All told, though, it's a serious condition, but one easily treated by someone who is blood tested by a doctor skilled in Vollistan medicine, or someone who talks to any Vollistan with a knowledge of their lore or healing practices.
