The Master of Death is the unnamed eponymous protagonist of "a collection of legends, loosely assembled into a sort of novel." The character is "supposedly one of the greatest wizards ever, having never lost a duel." There is, however, "one opponent he had yet to defeat, and to prove himself invincible, he sought out Death himself."
