(Harold Richard) Marshall Hays (1872 - 24 January 1948) was an accountant and local politician active in the Hammersmith area. Born in Ealing, he was the son of Richard Baker Hays, a chartered accountant, and his wife Emily. By 1891 he was working as a clerk for his father's accountancy business. By 1901 he was an accountant and auditor. By 1911 he had moved to Hammersmith, where he lived for the rest of his life. He became a member of Hammersmith Borough Council, becoming an alderman and served terms as Mayor of Hammersmith in 1920-25. Mentionedhere [1]
