The Demon Bear is a bear featured in Wolf Brother which Hord had caught prior to the book's start. The crippled wanderer , a Soul Eater, captures an Elemental and places it inside the bear for the purpose of killing Torak's Father. It succeeds, and then later wreaks havoc throughout the Forest. It is later buried and killed in an avalanche of snow caused by the World Spirit , along with Hord, at the foot of the Mountain of the World Spirit.
