The unnamed Driver took the bridal party of Audrey Potter from 33 Hammond Road to Weatherfield Register Office for her wedding to Alf Roberts in December 1985. He mistook Gail Tilsley for the bride instead of her mother and stopped off at Jim's Cafe on the way at Gail's insistence in order that she could check up on Phyllis Pearce and Martin Platt and make sure that they were coping on their own.
