Overdue is a ship status term denoting vessels that did not arrive at their destination when due. If a vessel is overdue for an unreasonable amount of time, they are declared overdue and presumed lost. If the ship still fails to arrive or it is determined to have been lost, the vessel may be upgraded to either lost or destroyed. If however the vessel is found to be intact the status is returned to active.
