Mrs. Jennings is a character in Sense and Sensibility. Her daughter is Lady Middleton and her son in law is Sir John Middleton of Barton Park. She has one other daughter besides Lady Middleton, but that daughter never appears in the books, but is mentioned. Mrs. Jennings was a bit of a meddler and took an active interest in the romantic lives of young people, especially Elinor and Marianne, much to their particular chagrin.
