The Purists make up the main proportion of the population of Libya. Being entirely of Libyan stock, they are proud of their inheritance, which more than once brought them into conflict with their nominal allies in Arabia. From their capital in Siwa , which was hardly a city of the same calibre as Cyrene or Carthage. Tripoli and Benghazi, both of which were purist contributions, would have been much better fitting for the role!
