Alyssia was a niece of Ta'a Chume, the younger sister of Chelik, and an aspiring Queen Mother of Hapes. In 27 ABY, as the reigning Queen Mother Teneniel Djo was rapidly losing influence, Alyssia conspired to take the throne for herself. Among her numerous schemes were convincing her sister Chelik's daughter to attempt an assassination of Prince Isolder, and acquiring the loyalty of her aunt's retainer, Trisdin Gheer. In the end, her plotting was for naught, as her cousin Tenel Ka took the throne.
