Designed by Julius Marcus Deronin, the-then XO of Red Fleet, the Mechan-class Fleet Tender is designed for repair purposes and supply holding on the fly. The Mechan-class is designed to have parts for almost any Black Star Confederacy ship. The vessel also has three hangar bays (each being able to hold up to a full squadron of fighters, or 4 transports/freighters/support craft) for repair duties. While the 20 quad laser cannons are a poor weapons complement for a ship of its size, a fleet tender is not designed for battle. It was updated with an antimatter reactor and a BioComp in 17 ABY.
