Kalandra was a star with an associated star system located in the Kalandra sector of the the galaxy's Alpha Quadrant. (ST reference: Star Charts) In the year 2375 during the Dominion War, starships from the Federation Alliance became trapped in the Kalandra system. General Martok and Captain Benjamin Sisko were concerned that ion storms in the system would expose their ships to the Dominion. (DS9 episode: "The Emperor's New Cloak")
